Coronavirus: Patient Info & Practice Operations

The health and wellbeing of our patients, staff, and community is our first priority.

To better serve our patients, we’re actively monitoring national and local information regarding COVID-19 (Coronavirus). We’re adhering to all the CDC and IDPH guidelines to prevent viral transmission to ensure your safety in our facilities.

Patient Appointments

All patients are required to wear face masks before entering our offices.

High-risk patients are urged to convert their appointment to a telehealth appointment. This includes patients over the age of 65, and patients with compromised immune systems due to cancer, diabetes, heart or lung disease, etc.

We will schedule you with a video visit if you currently have any of the following symptoms:

  • Fever of 100.4 degrees or greater
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath
  • Nausea
  • Vomiting
  • Diarrhea
  • Chills
  • Repeated shaking with chills
  • Muscle pain
  • Headache
  • Sore throat
  • New loss of taste or smell

Or, if you have:

  • Tested Positive for COVID-19
  • Been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 14 days
  • Visited a nursing home, long term care or assisted living facility or been visited by some who has in the past 14 days

Hours of operation will be fluctuating. Please contact our office if you do not have a confirmed appointment.

Pharmacy

Refills and prescriptions from our in-house pharmacy are currently being mailed to patients homes for safety and convenience. For most medications, patients can expect to call in and request a refill as normal.  We may need to verify your credit card information and mailing address. Prescriptions will be mailed through USPS with signature required. Shipping prescriptions is $5 if less than 90 tablets.  Prescriptions of 90 or more tablets have free shipping.

What We’re Doing

Pre-Appointment Calls: Each patient should receive a phone call prior to their appointment for a health status check as recommended by the CDC.

Arrival Screening: If you have an urgent medical need and keep your appointment, you and anyone with you will be asked screening questions and your temperature will be taken as you enter. Please do not bring anyone who isn’t absolutely necessary to your appointment. If you need to bring someone to your appointment, please limit it to one person.

Cleaning Procedures: We continue to implement the highest level of OSHA sanitation guidelines. We are implementing additional cleaning and sanitation protocols per the recommendations from the CDC for healthcare organizations.

Staff Isolation: Currently, no physicians or staff members have tested positive for coronavirus. If any of our team members come into contact with someone suspected or known to have coronavirus, they will be isolated immediately.
