Edin Abdagic is a Nurse Practitioner who is certified through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. He is currently practicing in Lake, Kane, and McHenry counties. His hospital affiliations include Advocate Good Shephard Hospital, Advocate Sherman Hospital and Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital and Northwester Medicine McHenry Hospital.
Edin received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Xavier University and a Masters of Adult-gerontology Nurse Practitioner from South University.
Edin is passionate about long-term survivorship care for his patients including general wellness and continued patient education. He strongly believes that the road to achieving the best possible outcomes for a patient is education and maximum involvement in decision making. His interests encompass a wide range of urologic conditions including prostate cancer, bladder and kidney cancer, lower urinary tract issues, overactive bladder, benign prostate hyperplasia, erectile dysfunction, men’s health, and hypogonadism.
Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner and joining Comprehensive Urologic Care, Edin spent 10 years in emergency, anesthesia and trauma nursing.
Outside of work, Edin is a loving husband and passionate father of two little girls. In addition he is a sports addict, an active participant in competitive soccer as well as recreational golf and tennis. Edin is multilingual speaking English, Serbian, Croatian, and Montenegrin in addition to his native Bosnian.
